Staying at Dunluce.
Dunluce is a heritage listed mansion in the heart of the Golden Dress Circle in Brighton - 140 meters from the beach.
A 10 minute walk to the bus stops or train station.
The Tinney family live in Dunluce with our 3 school aged children and pet cats. We are friendly and gregarious and will engage with you as much as you wish, but being that we run a busy household and our children have dynamic lives, we are often out and about doing our own thing. However we are always a phone call or text message away if you need any assistance.
We have two Bedrooms available from $130 a night twin share:
"The Dunluce Quarters" has a Queen size bed, private ensuite and is located downstairs near the main entrance. From $100 twin share/per night- depending on season. SLEEPS 2.
"The Tower Room" is located upstairs in the South Castle Turret and has it's own Private Balcony facing East with beautiful sunrises.
This room has a single bed and a shared bathroom. From $85 per night depending on season. SLEEPS 1.
Please note as this is a Bed & Breakfast- there is no access to the kitchen.
Continental Breakfast facilities and complimentary self-serve refreshments are available downstairs in the Opulent Formal Dining Room. Take in the historic surroundings and antiques with a cup of Tea or Pod Coffee.
Toaster, Tea/Kettle, and Nespresso coffee machine are available for you to
use at any time. Cereal, bread & Jam will be available to you for breakfast. The Dining Room is for the exclusive use of Dunluce Guests as the family dine elsewhere. Only Dunluce registered guests are permitted on Castle premises. For guests at Dunluce please see next section regarding tours.

With some notice a personal 1 hour Guided Historical Tour/ Pictorial Presentation plus Devonshire Tea may be arranged for you at an additional cost of $120 for 2 people with a $10 per/head cost for additional guests. This depends on my schedule and availabilty. The History Package includes a pictorial presentation and tour of the entire mansion as well as Devonshire Tea in the Formal Dining.
Due to safety concerns with the heritage architecture, as well as precious antiques and furnishings, Dunluce is only an appropriate accommodation for children 10 years and up. NO Smoking. NO Pets.
2 night minimum booking requirement in peak Summer season.
Guests may come and go whenever they please regardless of the hour. We are always available to contact by mobile phone. We are generally around the place if you have any questions or if you need any assistance just ring or send a text message.
Signage is present to guide guests to stay to designated 'Guest Areas'.
These boundaries give our children safety and some personal space but also keep you away from the busyness of the household so you can feel relaxed.
Guest areas include: bedroom, bathroom and The Formal dining Room. Please respect these boundaries as my children and pets need to have 'Family Only' zones to feel safe, comfortable and relaxed in their home.
Tours of the residence are only possible through a booking as previously mentioned above.
Inclusions: refreshments, continental breakfast, air conditioning/heating, small refrigerator in main guest dining room, hair dryer, fluffy towels, new crisp bed linen, soap, toiletries, shampoo & conditioner, WIFI,
clothes iron (upon request) and more.
Please note. Cancellation Policy:
50% refund if cancellation is made with less than 7 days notice.
7-14 days notice you will receive a 75% refund.
For all other booking cancellations-guests get a full refund.
